IP Camera
An IP camera, or internet protocol camera, is a type of security camera that sends video images about a network or internet. In contrast to traditional analog CCTV cameras, IP camera is remotely accessible and can record High-Definition video.
Due to their advanced functions and flexibility, IP cameras are becoming increasingly popular for security systems for homes and businesses. Some advantages of using IP cameras are:
- High-Definition Video: IP cameras usually have a higher resolution than analogue cameras, which means that they can record more details in the images they record. This can be especially useful for identifying people or objects in the video.
- Remote access: IP cameras are accessible everywhere with an internet connection remotely. This means that owners can check their property from their smartphone or computer, even if they are not at home.
- Movement detection: Many IP cameras have built-in options for motion detection. When movement is detected, the camera can send a warning to the smartphone or e-mail from the owner, so that it can quickly view the images and determine whether there is a potential safety threat.
- Nachtzicht: Most IP cameras come with infrared LEDs with which they can absorb in low light. This can be especially useful for outdoor cameras that have to record images at night.
- Two-way audio: Some IP cameras have built-in microphones and speakers that make two-way communication possible. This can be useful to communicate remotely with visitors or intruders.
- Simple installation: IP cameras are generally easy to install and set. Many cameras are plug-and-play, which means that they can be installed in just a few minutes with minimal technical knowledge.
